impulsivegirls.com came about when a few members talked on other chat sites and were sick of the hassle from men and men acting as women, trying to get gay and bi women to talk sexually and exchange pics with them. We needed a place of our own, one that we controlled, one were we set the rules, one were we kept the men and the few perverted males out of our site, so we could chat to other women, without the worry of trying to work out who is real and who is fake. Who are women and who are men.
This was the birth of impulsivegirls.com choosing a name for a website that was nice and easy to remember and also unique was important, a domain name has to tell something about the site, and has to be unique with an appealing sound, that makes it special, and says something about the people that join the site.
On Sunday the 25th of March 2007, impulsivegirls.com was bought, it was perfect. impulsive Girls had everything a domain name needed for a website for women. impulsive Girls said we are girls that follow our impulse, free spirts, girls that go with our feelings and listen to our impulsive nature, as girls we learn to follow our impulse as it keeps us safe, it warns us if something feels wrong or feels right, so the name was set and the next year was a mission to build a site that could live up to the name and appeal to the impulsive nature of all women, gay bi or straight.
Having an idea in your head and trying to work out how to make it work was a challange that took time to work out. Finding the software for the site was another problem as there were a few out there, but none that could compare with the major independent social network giants like myspace facebook person and plentyoffish.
Having installed and tested 4 different types of software i was about to give up on the whole idea, when the 4th software gave links to go and buy extra software from another company to add to theirs so it would work.
Having looked at what the company offered, i thought i would install their software and test it, it was new, but it was full of bugs and complex, so i was becoming disheartend and then a few months later it improved so much it was a dream come true.
Between November 2007 and January 2008 we invited people to join us. In April 2008 it was time to make a public launch of impulsivegirl.com and this is where we are now.
We have a few rules, and they are, 1/ no men. 2/ everyone has to verify. 3/ no fighting/drama.
Because we verify everyone via cam or a phone call, the chat is a much more relaxed place and you can feel the difference in the atmosphere on ig chat than any other chat on the net.

The idea of the impulseive network is to have 1500 local impulseive sites run by women who will be paid 50% of the revenue the sites earn, the revenue will be from ads and a low $10/£5 per year membership for those that want some extra special features we have yet to plan.
30% of the remaining income will go to a trust fund for women in need on a local level, so offer small grants to help single moms, vulnerable women, disabled women, young women to get a deposit for their own flat. things like that.
i believe if i can pull this off, then we would have a network as big as myspace, and doing some good with the money it generates. by offering 1500 stay at home women the chance to earn some extra money, and their work being rewarded in two ways, 1/ they earn money, 2/ they are helping other women locally. the network would be a huge boost for women worldwide, althought impulsivegirls.com is a gay girls site, none of the others are, they are all mix gender sites and impulsiveguys.com is the gay guy site.
